Angie is a psychologist with particular interest and expertise in working with new parents, supporting them as they negotiate the often challenging time of becoming a mum or dad. This time of life often brings up issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and grief, as well as the 'normal' issues of parenting including baby sleep. Angie is co-author of 'The Sensible Sleep Solution: A guide to your baby's sleep in the first year', which is a 'middle of the road' approach to baby sleep. She is passionate about supporting parents to gain confidence as they work to become to parents they want to be.
Angie has done a Phd and a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree with First Class Honours in Psychology from the University of Adelaide, and a Masters of Counselling Psychology degree from Macquarie University in Sydney. She has a broad range of experience working with individual adults, couples, families, and children, gained through working in a wide variety of settings including community mental health centres, non-government organisations and private organisations.
